Indy Feminists found RFRA to be a discriminatory piece of legislation masquerading as religious freedom protection. We noted that it was bad for the LGBTQ community, as well as racial minorities, women and anyone in need of reproductive healthcare.
Today we’re hearing that there’s a “fix”. What is being proposed is not a fix. It’s a band-aid that doesn’t begin to cover the wounds that RFRA has caused in our state. The populations at risk from RFRA deserve explicit protections from discrimination. This “fix” does not provide that. Indy Feminists calls for a full repeal of RFRA.
